Radical is awesome, well I think so at this point. I have yet to install it... This is a log of the install and configuration of Radicale on OpenBSD 5.9 patch branch updated 23.04.16

Radicale can be found here: Radicale

The downloads site says I can install this with pip.. thats neat, but Version 1.1.1 is available as a package so I'm not going to mess with pip.

pkg_add radicale

At the end of the instalation it asks if I want to use python-2.7.11 as my system default. I do, so I will create the symbolic links

--- +python-2.7.11 -------------------
If you want to use this package as your default system python, as root
create symbolic links like so (overwriting any previous default):
 ln -sf /usr/local/bin/python2.7 /usr/local/bin/python
 ln -sf /usr/local/bin/python2.7-2to3 /usr/local/bin/2to3
 ln -sf /usr/local/bin/python2.7-config /usr/local/bin/python-config
 ln -sf /usr/local/bin/pydoc2.7 /usr/local/bin/pydoc

The config file is /etc/radicale/conf
