Lets get LetsEncrypt working on OpenBSD's HTTPD

First.. I did not come up with this.. as everything else I've duckduckgo'd and found other people who've written about how to do what I want to do. This is merely a place where I compile some of the things which I would like to be able to do again without playing duck duck go for hours more.

So, a big thank you to unixin.space for putting me on the right track with this

Install the following dependencies:

  • dialog
  • augeas
  • python2.7.x
  • py-virtualen

Get the current letsencrypt source and run the following to create a cert

git clone https://github.com/letsencrypt/letsencrypt
./letsencrypt-auto certonly --webroot -w /var/www/htdocs -d devwhat.org

Now I need to add the following to my httpd.conf file

listen on * tls port 443
}
tls {
    certificate "/etc/letsencrypt/live/devwhat.org/fullchain.pem"
    key "/etc/letsencrypt/live/devwhat.org/privkey.pem"
}

All thats left a restart of httpd

/etc/rc.d/httpd restart
